Reddington Hospital Group, the foremost private hospital in Lagos has debunked the rumour which has been trending on social media warning Nigerians to be wary of Covid-19 third wave claiming that its isolation facilities in Ikeja, Victoria Island and Lekki in Lagos are brimming with patients.

According to a statement in Lagos signed by the Dr. Sola Oluwole, Managing Director Reddington Hospital and Amoured Shield Covid-19 Centre, the hospital group established two facilities in Lagos in 2020 for testing and treatment of Covid-19: ZainLab, an NCDC approved for Covid test and provides 24-hour daily PCR test for air travelers and routine diagnostic covid screening at centres in Victoria Island, Lekki and Ikeja and the Armoured Shield Covid-19 Medical Centre at Victoria Island.

“Both facilities promoted by the Reddington Group and duly accredited by NCDC and Lagos State Government have so far not seen cases that corroborate the information that is currently being circulated in the social media,” the statement said adding further that “while we support vaccination and strict adherence to Covid-19 safety protocols, needless to say that the social media post did not originate from Reddington Hopital.”

Reddington Hospital Group urged Nigerians to embrace all Covid-19 protocols, go for regular testing and take the Federal Government approved vaccines.
